About the 80’s are back

This is the type of exhibit that definitely can take advantage of the social media; and they actually did it very well. Many people, the post baby boomers generations, can be highly identified with the content of this show. (myself included, even though I was a little girl back in the 80’s 😉 I particularly enjoy when audiences are not just passive receptors but they are actively engaged in the artistic process. In some performances or installations audience response becomes vital part of the piece by providing immediate feedback. In this case, the audience is providing content by documenting part of their lives with visual and textual materials, an excellent way to combine the not-so-irreconcilable analog and digital worlds. Does anybody knows other museums or cultural institutions currently using this type of strategy?
